Persistnace and Power

For saying this, you may go home happy: the devil has gone out of your daughter.’ So she went off to her home and found the child lying on the bed and the devil gone.
Mk.7:31

A pagan woman begs for Jesus to to deliver her possessed daughter. Jesus tests the woman’s faith by initially refusing. Her persistance gains her desire and her daughter is delivered even while being some distance away.

This story highlights persistance and power. The persistance of the pagan woman’s plea releases Jesus power.

Jesus instigates healing in many ways; by touch, by word, by mud on a blind man’s eyes. Here the plea of a pagan releases his healing power at another location. Remote intercession.

There is no limitation to Jesus’ healing. The one requirement is faith. The woman had faith in Jesus and this drove her persistance. My intersession for others anywhere is powerful when driven by faith.

Lord Jesus I trust in you. As I place my prayer list before you this moring, please release your healing power. Even the dogs can eat the children’s scraps.
Little Flower please pray for me.
