No Doubt

But he must ask with faith, and no trace of doubt, because a person who has doubts is like the waves thrown up in the sea when the wind drives.
Jms.1:6,7

James is writing to Jewish believers, encouraging them to remain faithful in times of trial. He encourages them to ask a generous father, but always ask without doubt.

Wind blown waves can go against a current. There's lots of energy but it's directed all over the place in useless dissipation. I sometimes let the winds of circumstance chop and change me, distracting me, undermining me.

Getting my feet back on the rock sets me facing back on course. This prayer time is grounding, getting me back and moving on the way. "I am the way" says Jesus. Come and follow me.

Lord Jesus, I get so easily distracted, tossed about by the waves of life. Today I place my feet back on your sure foundation and continue my journey on the way.
Little Flower, please pray for me.
